We are an independent institution. We share knowledge and build tools for understanding and studying Islamic texts.
The Institution
المؤسسة
We take our name from the House of Wisdom of the Islamic Golden Age. There, scholars translated and studied the texts of their age and the ages before them. They worked so that they and those after them could study and invent. We aim to do the same with the tools of our age, in shaʾ Allah.
Principles
المبادئوقل رب زدنى علما
And say: My Lord, increase me in knowledge.
Scholarship
We return to the sources and read them without the bias of our own age or the ages before us.
Accessibility
We build to benefit every soul, because the revelation was sent as a mercy to all the worlds.
Continuity
We build on what we inherited, to benefit those who come after us.
